Emera Maine Rates To Decrease – CMP Rates To Rise

The Maine Public Utilities Commission has spoken!  Standard rates for energy supply have been set for next year, some go up and some go down, kinda like life in general.

The roughly 123,000 customers in Emera Maine's Bangor Hydro district can expect to see a 4.6 % decrease in the standard rate, or about $1.67 per month in savings for the regular user.

Central Maine Power customers can expect a 3.5% increase adding about $1.25 to the average monthly bill.

Meanwhile, the second portion of your electric bill which is the delivery rate has been steadily rising recently.
