I was a member of Planet Fitness for quite awhile and I liked it fine.  I prefer being outside so I moved on to walking. The downside of that is I know I should be weight training.  After you turn, I want to say I've read, 40 you start losing muscle unless you do something to keep it. And if you lose it since muscle burns calories more effectively than fat you'll gain weight....not to be preachy, we're all in the same boat.

I bring all this up because tomorrow every Plant Fitness in the US, including Bangor's of course, is giving you a free test drive of what they have to offer.  What cha got to lose?  I think if you want to make a change and make it stick this could be a good chance but take my advice and if you can find a buddy do so and good luck.  Fitness is a good thing and moving and making a few changes is a great start.
