Tonight’s featured artist founded several of the bands I-95 regularly play but at one time he fronted for the band Queen to help them get back on their feet after losing Freddie. Think you can name the guy or the other bands he started??

Back in June of 2014 radio.com sat down with Paul Rodgers co-founder of the bands Free, Bad Co and Firm (with Zeppelin's Jimmy Page) and they asked him how it was that he wound up touring with Queen.

Radio.com: “How did you get involved with the Queen reunion in the mid-2000’s?” Paul: “When I first went into that, it was going to be just for a couple of shows. And it kinda grew. It was good, I enjoyed it, they did really good versions of my songs too. But it’s amazing how quickly four years can go by! And I suddenly thought to myself, “This is not the story of my career, I have to move on to other things,” so we let it go. But they’re back up and running now, and I’m happy that they are. I think that [experience] gave them the confidence to know that they can do this, and I’m happy to help them get to where they are now.”

Back with Bad Company and touring with Joe Walsh you can take a drive and take in the show June 9 — Mansfield, MA at the Xfinity Center
