I-95 Drive Home Mystery Artist [VIDEO]

Tonight's Mystery artist made a hit recording of a song that was written by another artist named Paul Pena who was having trouble with his record company and wouldn’t get to release his own version of his song for 27 years. Do you know who scooped him or what the song might be??

Paul Pena wrote and recorded his song in for the first time in 1973 for his ‘New Train’ album. According to Wikipedia however, due to conflicts between he and his label, New Train was not released until the year 2000. In the interim as fate would have it Ben Sidran who had produced the song for Pena had also once played in the Steve Miller Band. Ben played the song for Steve who decided to record "Jet Airliner" for his band's album Book Of Dreams in 1977. The Steve Miller band version has lyrics that are slightly different from the Pena original.
