Tonight’s mystery artist has settled himself in as the drummer for a classic rock band but in a prior life he played with everyone from Ted Nugent to Cher.  Any guess who he is or who he plays with now??

This particular artist was born back in 1962  and his name is Michael Cartellone. Before taking up residence in the current lineup of Lynyrd Skynyrd  where he has been since 1999, that let’s just say that Michael got around. Outside Skynyrd, his most notable gig was drummer for the Damn Yankees from 89-96 and 98-01 with fellow band members Tommy Shaw and Ted Nugent.  According to Wikipedia though his resume also includes playing for the band Accept in ‘96, Chuck Mosley in ’09 For Damn Yankees members Eddie Jobson and Tommy Shaw outside of the band  and other notable artists John Fogerty, Peter Frampton, John Wetton, Freddie Mercury, Cher, Adrian Belew, Brad Gillis, Steve Fister, Wolf Hoffman, Tim Kirker, and Joe Lynn Turner

They also note that he is also an accomplished painter and die hard Charlie Chaplin and Cleveland Indians fan.

Here he is playing in tonight's feature song:
