Tonight’s mystery artist said that unlike many popular band that need elaborate sets to put on a good show their band made up of all musicians need none of that to put on a great show. Think you know who this person is or what band he plays with??

I found this interesting incite on a site called HitFix were the interviewer had just seen Fleetwood Mac play at a Jazz Fest in New Orleans in daylight outdoors without all the bells and whistles of an indoor arena show and remarked he didn’t miss them at all…why is that. It was Lindsey Buckingham who answered the question this way: 

Buckingham: There’s a lesson there. We’ve all come to feel that we need to rely on the constructions of quite elaborate set design and the backdrop that changes from song to song and, really, this band, because we are a band of musicians and a great singer, we could go up there and with a couple of spotlights prevail probably just as well. It should be about the music first and, of course, with us, it is.
