Tonight’s mystery artist’s was told by Paul McCartney years ago that when you’re writing songs it is OK to make up nonsense words if they work in the song. Think you know who he told this to??

I found this in an interview by Dan Rather with the soon to be in Bangor Steve Miller.  The question came from Dan what is the Pompitous of Love? To which Steve says it is whatever you want it to be. Steve went on to say he had asked Paul McCartney back in 69 how he wrote songs and Paul told him you know, whatever works. It’s not that heavy.  Steve went on to tell him that the truth of the matter is that things that are spontaneous have a much longer life than things that have a lot of burnt brain tissue.

Here’s Steve with tonight’s featured song.

And here is the interview.
