Drive Home Mystery Artist

Tonight’s mystery artist took a hiatus from his band during the 80’s and took up racing cars and flying helicopters. Think you know who he is or the band he returned to??

This info comes from Loudersound about world famous drummer Phil Rudd of AC/AD. Saying of the drummer after leaving AC/DC in 1983 he would spend a decade racing cars and flying helicopters but then returned to the band. The video below actually says the band let him go for have drug and alcohol issues. Phil did rejoin the band ten years later and story has it he was still a helicopter enthusiast and bought himself a Hughes 500 as an atta boy gift for completing AC/DC’s Black Ice Tour in 2010.

Unfortunately after returning to the band Phil made some very bad choice that would derail his career with the band.
