Tonight’s featured artist was said the most annoying thing to him about the digitization of music isn’t the recording process but the fact that when people listen to his music from an mp3 they are getting about 5% of what the song really sounded like when he recorded it in the studio. Any guess who our old school guy might be??

Maybe he’s the reason vinyl is making a resurgence…From a 2015 interview with Jian, Tom Petty is our artist that claims the saddest part of technology for him is that the consumer listening on their phone or MP3 player isn’t really getting the sound that he created. So he gets really annoyed.  He confessed also that he still loves vinyl and also the highest possible of digital. He did go on to say he likes how quick the editing process goes with digital.
