Tonight’s mystery artist says that the most influential record he owned during his formative years was ‘Otis Redding Sings Soul Ballads.  Think you know who learned to be soulful from Otis??

This interesting fact came forth in an interview with Robert Palmer back in 1985 when he was moving towards his peak.  He says what affected him from Otis Redding was how honest he came through and how real he was and his incredible tone.  He recalls the timeless voice Otis Redding had.
