Maine is once again well represented!

The 2015 New England Music Awards nominees have been announced! Some of our favorite Mainers will be heading to Massachusetts in April on a quest for music glory!

In the Best in State category Portland is home to four nominees. The dudes of Gunther Brown are up against Lovers of Fiction, Muddy Ruckus and Builder of the House. Wiscasset rockers Endless Interstate are also up for the honor.

In the running for Country Act of the Year is Lewiston based The Whiskey Militia.

Portland rockers Fifth Freedom are up for Rock Act of the Year!

Biddiford is home to a nominee for Metal Act of the Year. Congrats Sygnal to Noise!

Maine has two nominees for Roots Act of the Year! Lincoln's Jacob Augustine, and for the third time Hilton Park!

The Portland based Jason Spooner Band is up for Live Act of the Year.

The soulful signing of Lyle Divinsky is up for Male Act of the Year.

Stiff competition in the Female Act of the Year category! Brunswick's Lady Lamb and Bangor's Stesha Cano both have nods!

Portland producer Jonathan Wyman is up for Producer of the Year!

Hell yes! Chris Ross and The North are up for Song of the Year with 'When the Dark Allows.' They're also up for Album of the Year with Young Once! The Mallet Brothers Band have an awesome new album in the running! 'Lights Along the River' scores them a nod.

Congrats to Spizzy! Spose is up for Video of the Year with 'Nobody.'

The awards show will be held at the Blue Ocean Music Hall & Event Center in Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts on April 9th.
