In a terrific interview with Connecticut Post I was reading all kind of wisdom for Joe Walsh. When I saw that one of his new originals 'No Man’s Land' had been contributed to a new documentary that the trailer blew my mind called 'Citizen Soldier' which comes out Aug. 5th.

This moving film tells the true story of young soldiers in an Oklahoma National Guard unit, and their life-changing tour of duty in Afghanistan. It’s an intimate look at the chaos of combat, showing the soldiers’ bravery and valor under hellish conditions.

Joe said:

“I became aware of the project and it was a wake-up call to me that we are at war and young people (and I am old enough to say kids) every day are dying and getting limbs blown off and then coming home damaged in numerous ways,” he said. “And when I look at what’s going on in America, this is a forgotten war — and this situation is not OK. So I decided to get involved and I did music for the documentary in hopes that people will see it and get a slap in the face like I did.”
