Penobscot Bridge Repaving Project To Begin 11/1

A repaving project will begin Tuesday, 11/1, on the Penobscot Bridge, the span that connects Oak Street/Broadway in Bangor and State Street in Brewer.

The current pavement, gutted from the weight of vehicles after years of service, will be milled, the road will be leveled and then repaved.  Lane Construction will do the work.

Most of the work will be done during the night and there will be lane closures.  Work should be completed within a month.
