Looking for the perfect way to spend Father's day with your dad?  Well, if he is a Red Sox fan this one is a no brainer.  As a part of this year’s centennial celebration, Friends of Acadia and the Boston Red Sox will host Acadia Day at Fenway Park on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19. This family-focused day will bring more than 100 young people and their families by bus—the L.L.Bean Fenway Express—from the Downeast Maine region to Boston to join other Acadia fans for a 1:35 p.m. game against the Seattle Mariners.

The L.L.Bean Fenway Express will leave the Acadia Gateway Center in Trenton on Sunday, June 19 at 7 a.m., to arrive before the pre-game ceremony at 12:05 p.m.  The bus will return to Trenton immediately after the game.  Event tickets are $65 per person; the cost covers the bus trip, the game ticket, and a goody bag for each guest.
With great thanks to L.L.Bean, Cape Air, and other event partners, Friends of Acadia has been able to keep the costs down for the special day so that all who are interested in participating can join in the fun,” says David MacDonald, president of Friends of Acadia.  Scholarships are available if families have additional financial needs. Individual tickets without the bus trip are also available through Friends of Acadia and redsox.com

When baseball guests enter Fenway’s Gate A, they will be given a raffle entry form to complete and return to the nearby FOA information table. All baseball fans with a completed entry form will be eligible to take part in a drawing for an Acadia package, with two round-trip tickets between Boston and Bar Harbor provided by Cape Air and hiking gear provided by L.L.Bean. The drawing will be held at the beginning of the 3rd inning. Other drawings and activities will be available at the information table on the concourse at Gate A.
