Mokey has short fur, but everything else about her is long: long legs, long ears, and long tail!  She's currently available for adoption at the SPCA of Hancock County!

She's a black and tan hound mix who's only 7 months old, and this puppy is one curious and engaging character! Mokey is not only as long as a whip, but as smart as one, too. She's motivated by smells (such a hound!), food, and play time with other dogs - in that order.

At the shelter, they're making sure to reinforce calm behavior on her walks, and practice her "manners" behaviors. She's already working on "sit, lie down, and come." It would be even better if she could work on these things in a home, though!

Mokey's a big, curious puppy who needs attention and activities to keep her busy. She is looking for a home where everyone is 15 or older.

The folks at the SPCA don't want Mokey to spend all of her remaining puppy months at the shelter.  Who's looking for a hiking buddy, playmate for another dog, or just an enthusiastic partner in crime?
