Portland Street To Be Made Into A Giant Waterslide [VIDEO]

On August 1st, the northbound lane of Franklin Street in Portland will be converted into a giant water slide!

This week, the Portland City Council gave it's approval for the "Slide The City" event. This traveling water slide show  travels the country and the world.

Thrill seekers get a tube and a mouth guard and then will depart the 1,000 foot trip down the slide!

Tickets are anywhere from $15 to $55, depending on how many times you'd like to slide. A portion of the proceeds will either go to a charity or the city of Portland.
