Veterans Day is Sunday, but most of us here in Bangor will honor our Vets in the area Monday, and there's a bunch of ways that you can show your support to the men and women that have served our country so well.

The Bangor Area Breakfast Rotary will kick things off with a pancake breakfast at the Brewer Auditorium from 7 until 10am. The annual Bangor Brewer Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10:30am from the Brewer Hannaford parking lot.  It will make its way down Wilson Street, across the bridge and then left onto Main Street in Bangor where it then will briefly utilize Hammond and then Exchange Streets, eventually ending at the Kenduskeag Plaza.  It's a pretty long parade for the Vets that will be marching on Monday.  Grab some sidewalk space and applaud as they go by!

Meanwhile, over at the Cole Land Transportation Museum on the Perry Road in Bangor, a special tribute to our veterans will begin at one o'clock.  A beautiful new granite World War Two Memorial will be dedicated.  Many local businesses, organizations and individuals contributed pitched in to cover the cost of the Memorial.  The tribute is open to the public.  So, maybe you can stop by, and pay tribute to those who paid the ultimate cost of freedom.
