Ross walked away with the $1000 grand prize!

According to a press release, there were almost 1400 votes cast at the Broke and Stoked website, and Josh beat out Jacob Christiansen of Kittery Point, the second place finisher by just four votes.

“Ross has an incredibly unique eye,” said MOFF director Nick Callanan of the winner. “His short film weaves super fun snow skate footage with these awesome nature shots, creating this mood of focused serenity in body, mind and soul… I found it almost mimics the flow state many outdoor athletes are seeking when they gear up. It’s just a phenomenal piece of film-making and I’m proud that it won.”

The basic rules for the contest include that the film must be four minutes or shorter in length, the filmmaker must be from Maine, and of course the film must taken from the outdoors.
