7 Injured when Flight Originating in Maine Crashes in Massachusetts
Seven people were taken to the hospital after a Cape Air plane crashed in Massachusetts after starting its journey at an airport in Owls Head.
The twin-engine Cessna 402 started its day flying out of the Knox County Regional Airport on Thursday morning. It made a safe landing at Boston's Logan Airport, before departing for Provincetown, Massachusetts. But when flight 2072 reached its destination, something went wrong. The plane left the runway and went into a wooded area, where it caught fire.
Anyone who thinks they may have had loved ones on the plane is asked to contact the Cape Air Family Assistance Number, 888-253-4115.
The incident is being investigated by Cape Air and the National Transportation Safety Board. Updated information will be posted to the Cape Air website.
