This guy ain’t havin’ it bub!

Since every human on earth seems to have a podcast now, it was only a matter of time before someone had a Maine-themed one.

Teagan Wright describes himself as a “host/comedian/who cares. A hodge podge of all things Maine, some comedy, and ya know probably a podcast cause like, everyone else is doing it!”

In a recent episode, he gave his critique of a 2021 movie called “Downeast” which was shot in and around, Portland, in early 2020.

When Emma returns to her hometown of Maine, she rekindles a romantic flame with Tommy, a local lobster fisherman. The two are forced to confront their past after a local drug lord reemerges.

The film is described as "A story of love, loss, and redemption - Downeast dives into the often ignored seedy underbelly of Maine. The film combines crime, revenge, and the hope for a new life."

That description sounds like a pretty exciting viewing experience, but Tegan thought he was watching "Good Will Hunting 2," because the actors who attempted a Maine accent, weren’t quite up to snuff.

The Maine accent is a curious thing, considering that since I am in radio, I’ve been trying to lose my mine for years, but every once in a while, it slips out, and the key to doing the perfect one, is replacing the 'e' and 'r' at the end of a word, with the letters a and 'h.'

If you want to check it out for yourself "Downeast" is available to stream on Showtime, Spectrum TV, The Roku Channel, Prime Video, Vudu, or Apple TV on your Roku device.
