Meet Hampden Academy student, 17-year-old Anthony "Tony" Cote.

He's a young man on a mission to support an organization near and dear to his heart, and he's going about it in a fun and entertaining way.

Tony's organizing a talent show and he's hoping you'll come to the performance, and he's also fundraising for an annual walk that he missed last year because of his liver transplant surgery.

Tony has Cystic Fibrosis and when he was 11 years old, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine granted his wish to go to Disney with his family. Make-A Wish grants wishes to children in Maine with chronic or life-threatening diseases.

Despite his medical challenges Tony's been determined to balance school work and friends with his fairly aggressive fundraising for the Make-A-Wish organization. To date Tony's raised more than $30,000 and he's not done yet.

Tony decided to tap into the talented student population at Hampden Academy to put together a talent show which will be held on Friday, April 5th at 6 p.m. at the Hampden Academy Performing Arts Center. Proceeds of course, benefit Make-A-Wish.

He's also fundraising for the annual Walk for Wishes at Cascade Park on May 18, 2013. If you'd like to support Tony's team, it's the Winterport Dream Walkers.
