Sammy Hagar, the Red Rocker turns 67 today, and chances are he's celebrating on some western Mexican beach.

In the 1970s Sammy was part of the band Montrose which had a few album hits, remember "Bad Motor Scooter" and "Rock Candy?"  Sammy then went off on his own and enjoyed some success with songs like "I Can't Drive 55" and "There's Only One Way To Rock."

But, his most successful years so far were between 1985 and 1996 when he replaced David Lee Roth as the lead singer for Van Halen!

Which brings about the age old question, "Diamond Dave or Sammy Hagar?"  Which singer have you enjoyed more as the frontman of Van Halen?
