Anah Shrine In Bangor To Hold Thursday Blood Drives

During this time of crises, can you offer up the gift of life?

The area, and the country for that matter, is facing a critical shortage of blood. "Blood drives continue to be canceled at an alarming rate, nearly 9000 resulting in about 300,000 fewer blood donations", according to a recent mailing from the American Red Cross.

Beginning this Thursday, April 2nd, the Anah Shrine at 1404 Broadway in Bangor, will begin a series of American Red Cross Blood events.  You can donate blood between noon and 5 p.m. that Thursday, or during the same time period the following three Thursdays, April  9^th, 16^th  & 30^th.

In order to minimize risk, and to assist in meeting the social distancing requirements set forth by the Governor, event officials ask that potential donors make an appointment and then arrive no more that 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.
