That's that appeal and those are the questions asked and answered on the popular PBS show, Antiques Roadshow. 

If you haven't seen it, the premise is that these very knowledgeable appraisers get together in a very cool setting and go through lines of people, one by one, who bring items they think might have value, to see if what they have is worth more than just sentimental value.

As the website puts it:

"Part adventure, part history lesson, part treasure hunt, 22-time Emmy® Award-nominated ANTIQUES ROADSHOW began its 29th broadcast season in 2025 and is the most-watched ongoing primetime PBS series."

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

It was announced recently that the show would be filming its 2026 season in 5 different spots across the U.S. this summer. One of those spots happens to be Boothbay Harbor in Maine. More specifically, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (this awesome light show and huge trolls!) on Wednesday, June 18th.
