Hermon Man Dies in ATV Crash on Bangor’s Banair Road

Police now say one man has died as the result of an ATV accident Wednesday night on the Banair Road in Bangor.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. Bangor Police say two men were test driving a side-by-side ATV when it appears that the driver, 31-year-old Shane Brown of Hermon, lost control and it ended up in a ditch. The men were thrown from the vehicle. Officials say Brown was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Police said the other man was injured but declined being transported to the hospital.

Police were aided at the scene Wednesday night, by members of the Maine Warden Service.

This accident remains under investigation.
