Popular Bangor, Maine Bagel Spot Temporarily Closes Dining Room To Update Floors

A Downtown Bangor staple, for almost 3 decades, the dining room at Bagel Central is usually full with folks meeting up, working or stopping in to grab a quick bite.

Whether its a table full of young moms with kids in tow, eating eggs and sipping on ice coffee, a group of local lawyers working out opening arguments over omelets or students from local high schools or colleges perched along the window, chomping on desserts while they work on perfecting their papers for submission, if the walls of Bagel Central could talk, I bet they'd have thousands of stories to tell.

But it's not the walls that we're talking about this week. It's the floors at Bagel Central. In a recent social media post, the management at Bagel Central put out the word that the typically bustling dining room at the store has been temporarily closed for a couple of days, as the busy business gets a much-needed upgrade to it's flooring.

"Good morning from downtown Bangor! We are open! Same deal as yesterday at Bagel Central we are having our dining room floor replaced  so the dining room is closed off. This will possibly be the case tomorrow as well, we’ll keep everyone updated here. But, all of our delicious dishes and bagels are still available to go! So come on down, say hi and place your order with us!"

Bagel Central, formerly known at the Bagel Shop until the late 1990s, moved into it's current location in 1998. I don't remember the floors ever being replaced since then, so it's probably time.
