
Bangor/Brewer Mothers And Sons: Get Your Dancing Shoes Ready For Two Nights Of Fun!
It's time for mothers and sons in the Bangor/Brewer area to make some sweet memories! Both cities are holding Mother/Son dances in May, on two separate occasions. So it's time to get out those dancing shoes, and little suits and ties, and make some memories!

One week from today, on Friday, May 1st, the Bangor Parks and Recreation Department will hold its "Mother's Day Dance & Play" event.
The fun will take place at the Cross Insurance Center Ballroom in Bangor, with doors opening at 6 PM for those who want to take pictures, and the actual activities/dancing taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
"Celebrate Mother’s Day with an evening of creating memories with your sons with dancing, contests, giant games, and so much more! Bring your mom, grandma, or a special guest (18 or older) and join us for a night of laughter and memories!"
According to their website, aside from the dancing, they'll have giant games of cornhole, jenga and Connect Four set up for folks to play, along with snacks, photo-ops, and prizes available.
Tickets for this event must be purchased directly through the Bangor Parks and Recreation office. You can pick them up at the Parks & Rec office at their facility at 647 Main Street in Bangor. The cost for Bangor residents is $35 per couple, with $10 extra for each additional son. For non-residents, it's $45 per couple and $12 extra for each additional son.

Across the river in Brewer, their Parks and Recreation Department will hold its "Evening Under The Stars Son Dance" the week after, on Friday, May 8th. The dance will take place at the Ferris Community Center at 318 Wilson Street in Brewer.
This is a dance open to "gentlemen from Kindergarten to sixth grade."
DJ Chris Brady will provide the music, and Monty Rand will take photos available for purchase.
According to the Brewer Parks and Recreation Department website, you can call the Parks & Rec office at (207) 989-5199, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM to register for the dance.
"Brewer Residents $30 per couple ($15 per additional son)
Non-Residents $40 per couple ($20 per additional son)."
The event will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. They will NOT be taking registrations for this dance online.
