Bangor & Ellsworth Holiday Parades This Saturday

A big time holly jolly feeling will abound this Saturday!

Shoppers will be hitting the ground this Saturday, December 7th, and it's pretty much guaranteed that Santa will be nearby as they do.

The 39th Annual Heart of Ellsworth Christmas Parade will begin at 11 a.m.  The parade will follow the same route that is has for years, beginning at the head of Main Street by the crossroads, and then running down the hill before turning right onto State Street.  Yes, you'll have to wait until the end to see Santa.

The Rotary Club will present the annual Bangor Festival of Lights Holiday Parade beginning at 4:30 on Main Street.  Expect it to last almost two hours.  The lighting of the tree will take place following the parade in West Market Square.

The National Weather Service is currently calling for a mostly sunny Saturday here in Maine, with calm winds and a high temperature of 27 degrees.
