Lougee & Fredericks has been filling Bangor with fabulous flower arrangements for almost a hundred years!

Though it's changed locations a few times, most recently the flower shop has been located on State Street, not too far from the Northern Light EMMC hospital.

But earlier this year, the owners decided to move their entire operation to a different section of town, setting up shop in the old Damon's Beverage Warehouse building on Washington Street, in the Penobscot Plaza, sharing a parking lot with long-time Bangor businesses Henry's Bridal Boutique, Dunnett Appliance and Mattress and Heros Sports Grill, to name a few.

The Downtown Bangor Partnership is encouraging people to stop in and welcome Lougee & Fredericks to their new spot.

"Welcome to a garden of delights and one of the new and brightest spots in Downtown Bangor as Lougee & Frederick's Florist celebrates the Grand Opening of their new home at 21 Washington Street, Bangor."

This Friday, April 25th, they'll be holding their Grand Opening celebration with coffee, donuts, a ribbon cutting at 2 PM, and even a raffle.

"Lougee & Frederick's will also hold a 50/50 raffle with proceeds going to Living Innovations in Bangor, which provides support to people of all ages and abilities to have a good life at home and in the community."

The party will start bright and early at 8 AM and run right through the day until 6 PM.
