Bangor, Maine Parks And Rec To Hold Mother’s Day Dance In May

Special time with your kids is hard to come by as a mom. You're usually the one carting them to and from different activities, not the guest of honor at these events.

And if you're the mother of boys, or a "boy mom" as they are called, you likely spend a great deal of time chasing and cleaning your sons rather than getting to connect with them in fun ways.

But there's one event coming up, just before Mother's Day (which is Sunday, May 11th this year, so take note) that is sure to fill mom's cup with some much-needed warm fuzzies.

The City of Bangor Parks and Recreation Department is putting on a special Mother's Day Dance at the Cross Insurance Center this year.

The event will take place at the Cross Center's Ballroom, Friday, May 2nd from from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. Doors will open at 6 PM.

Tickets, which will only be sold at the Bangor Parks and Rec building at 647 Main Rd. from 8 AM - 4:30 PM will run Bangor residents $35 a couple (mom and son) and $10 for each additional son. If you're not a Bangor resident, the price is $45 for a couple and $12 for each additional son.

They will not be selling tickets at the door.

While we can't guarantee you won't still be chasing after them and cleaning them up (as they say "mothers of boys work from son up to son down" there will be opportunities to steal a little time to take a little spin around the dancefloor with your little man/men.
