Bangor Police have released the identities of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a burning truck last night.

Sergeant Wade Betters said in a media release that the State Medical Examiner's Office has identified the remains as Michael Bridges, 43, and Desiree York, 36, both of Bangor. They were found in a burning delivery truck in the Penobscot Plaza parking lot on Washington Street.

Police say the deaths have been ruled a homicide, although the cause of death has not been released. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are actively investigating the case, with help from the State Fire Marshall's Office.

Police ask that anyone with information relating to the investigation call Detective Jeremy Brock at (297) 947-7384, extension 5740.
