There was no getting out of it with just a warning for a Michigan woman who decided to throw caution to the wind and allegedly break a number of traffic laws while bombing through Bangor's streets Wednesday morning.

How did it all start?

The Bangor Police Department says it all started just before 10:30 AM on September 9th, when an officer driving a Bangor PD cruiser, was stopped at a red light on Hellier Street.

When Officer Ellis finally got her green light, before she could even make a move forward, a speeding car ran the light right in front of her.

That's when Officer Ellis put on her lights and sirens and started to pursue the white Nissan Altima that allegedly blew through the light at a high rate of speed.

But the driver refused to pull over.

A chase through downtown began.

"The vehicle continued down Main Street and turning onto Union Street, running the red light at Union Street as well. The vehicle pulled onto High Street and finally into a parking lot where the driver came to a stop. During the stop, the driver was unable to provide her license or other documentation with her name on it to Officer Ellis. She provided officers with several different names, none of which could be confirmed by dispatch."

After some time, Bangor PD was able to determine the correct identity of the woman. 21-year-old Isingizwe Tuyisenge of Grand Rapids, Michigan was then arrested and taken to jail.

Tuyisenge is facing charges for Failure to Stop for a Law Enforcement Officer, Operating without a Driver’s License, Failure to Provide Correct Name, and
Driving to Endanger. She was also cited for speeding and running a stop sign.
