Update: Outer Broadway Shut Down As Bangor Police Deal With Situation
Update as of 5:30 PM Thursday, June 26th:
According to WABITV, dispatchers had received reports of a suicidal person with a gun in the area of outer Broadway around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. When first responders got there, law enforcement promptly closed the road down.
They're reporting that one individual has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after police heard gunshots upon arrival at the scene.
We're told the Attorney General's Office will be looking into the matter.
Multiple first responders and members of the Bangor Police Department are at the scene of an incident near the Bangor/Glenburn town line, not far from where the old Six Mile Falls/Dills Outdoor shop used to be.
It's not clear yet what kind of situation authorities are dealing with, but Bangor Police Department's Public Information Officer, Jason McAmbley, says they have shut down outer Broadway to the public at this time. Police are staging near the entrance to AIM recycling.

Multiple police officers were observed searching the wooded area around the railroad bridge.
McAmbley says the road will be shut down until further notice. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
We will update the story as information becomes available.
