We're not wishing the summer away, but we can smell the sausage and onions cooking already!

Organizers of the Blue Hill Fair have released their official 2021 schedule for the yearly event that traditionally happens over Labor Day weekend.  Of course last year the Blue Hill Fair was cancelled because of the nasty COVID-19 pandemic.  But apparently all is well this year and the Fair will go on.

Highlights of this year's Fair will include the Emily Young Band and Midnight Rose on Saturday night, both local Maine bands. The Emily Young Band, formerly LUX, will take the stage at  6. Midnight Rose is best known statewide for their high energy show and versions of well-known country and rock songs and they will begin at 7:30. Then on Sunday night Maine's favorite comedian, Bob Marley, will take the stage followed by the Mammoth Aerial Fireworks Display.  Things will be absolutely smashing on Monday afternoon as the State of Maine Championship Demolition Derby takes the infield of the racetrack.

Other events throughout the Fair's run include the Fire Guy Show, Rocky Mountain Carver's Demo, the Ready Go Dog Show, the Oxen Pulls, Hancock County's Got Talent, a blueberry pie eating contest, a ladies skillet tossing contest and of course all of the food, crafts, and midway rides.

Thursday is "Dollar Day" where both admission to the Fair and each ride is only $1.  Then Labor Day will feature a "Wristband Special", where for $20 one can ride unlimited mechanical rides between 11 and 7.

The Blue Hill Fair runs Thursday, September 2nd, through Monday, which is Labor Day.  For the full schedule go HERE.
