Brewer Police arrested a Blue Hill man in connection with a robbery Tuesday at the Brewer Motor Inn.

It was around 5:30 Tuesday morning when a man walked into the Wilson Street motel, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash. The man then fled on foot. Brewer Police searched the area during the morning hours, with the help of an Ellsworth Police K-9.

A number of leads and the assistance of the Bangor Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office led police to arrest 49-year-old Anthony Yurchick of Blue Hill Tuesday evening. He's charged with felony Theft, felony Robbery, and felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. In addition to these charges, he's being held for a number a outstanding warrants out of Hancock County. Brewer Police searched a residence on Acme Road and recovered additional evidence in the case.
