Businesses Beginning to Fill Building on Broadway in Bangor

It’s the beginning of the Broadway Historical District. And the building has been renovated inside and out. Actually, the outside isn’t totally completed as of yet.

However, the first tenant in the building at the corner of Broadway and Somerset in Bangor is in and operating. Buidling is kitty-corner, or catty corner, or if you will diagonally located from John Bapst Memorial High School.

The address is 117 Broadway. The entrance is on Pine Street, so looking from Broadway, it’s around the back of the building.

The tenant that recently moved into the building is Back in Motion Physical Therapy. They used to be located on State Street.

There are 12 locations in the state of Maine for Back in Motion.

They have physical therapists to treat injuries and chronic pain. This is not a gym, but a place to assess and reach goals for recovery from musculoskeletal injuries.

And in the state of Maine you do not need a Doctor’s referral to visit a physical therapist.

When the company that operates the building was contacted they were optimistic that another tenant that is in a medical field also is imminent.

And discussions are taking place for a 2^nd floor tenant but they are not at a stage to reveal who they are or what their field is either. However, they are optimistic that things are moving towards a fully leased building.

And good news for the neighborhood and those that drive by, the exterior of the building is expected to be completed by mid to late October. Other improvements are also expected within the same time frame.

Supply chain issues and labor shortages are responsible for the delay in the final touches to this long standing Bangor building.
