
Accident Involving Two Commercial Vehicles Blocks Road Along Route 9 In Chelsea Friday
An accident involving two large commercial vehicles has traffic at a standstill in Kennebec County this morning.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 10 AM.

The Maine State Police is advising that while emergency and cleanup crews are working the scene, there's a section of the road that is currently blocked entirely. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route or be prepared for delays.
"Members of the Central Field Troop, along with members of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit, are currently on scene investigating a crash involving two commercial motor vehicles on Route 9 in Chelsea. Tow trucks are on scene actively working to remove the vehicles. As a result, Route 9 is currently impassable between Intervale Road and Gilbert Drive and will remain closed until the vehicles can be safely removed."
According to google maps, this is a section of road close se to two businesses, Pushard's Snowmobile Sales and Philbrook Steel Inc, just south of Nettie's Perennials. Authorities have not yet released what kind of vehicles are involved, only that they are commercial.

There's also no word yet if anyone involved was injured.
