Bangor looooooves its Chick-fil-A.

To be honest, before Chick-fil-A came to Bangor, I'd barely heard of it. Without another one in Maine to reference it against at the time, I was a bit lost as to why it was so instantaneously popular. Then, of course, I tried it. So now I get why we love it up here so much, for sure.

Even after all this time, there's often still a line that wraps around the building from folks utilizing the drive-thru. And this is one of the points that local CFA owners were discussing in this video. That, and ramping up the experience for indoor diners as well. So they dropped a big bomb on their Facebook page.

Chick-fil-A in Bangor will be shutting down for a month.

Starting Monday, March 27th Chick-fil-A here in Bangtown is going to close down for a month while they renovate not only their interior but also do some reworking of the drive-thru. If you're a fan, you've seen just how mobbed the drive-thru can get, so I imagine they're going to be re-tooling that aspect of their business.

What are folks around here going to do without their beloved fried chicken sandwiches? Or even worse, how will you live without the joys of that delicious special sauce they serve?! It's almost the whole reason I go there, is for the sauce. I put in on everything. I might even steal extra where I can. Quit judging me, hahaha.

Again, this doesn't start for another 10 days, so you have time to get over there and get your fix before they shut down. If there's any silver lining, it's that at least it's just temporary. I don't think Bangor could survive Chick-fil-A going away forever. So breathe easy... It'll be back.
