City Of Brewer Voted #1 Place To Live In Maine By HomeSnacks.Net

According to recent list of the Top 10 best places to live in Maine by HomeSnacks.net, Brewer is the #1 city to live! Based on several different criteria, Brewer took the spot because of it's affordable housing, decent median income level, and low crime rates.

It's probably no surprise to the folks who live here, but folks who work for the city itself have already been saying that 2019 is shaping up to be a big year. In a post from Fox-22 Bangor, Brewer Director of Economic Development, D'arcy Main-Boyington, stated that upwards of 20 businesses opened in 2018.

In the same article, Main-Boyington also said there was an uptick in interest from outside developers, and that Brewer's waterfront is shaping up to be key in the city's economic development. And she seemed very optimistic about the future.

I know a lot of folks are worried about a recession, nationwide, and while that's a possibility, a strong possibility, at this point, here in Brewer we aren't expecting anything like that this year.

If you already live in Brewer, you're probably just wondering what took so long for everyone else to figure this out. If you're not, maybe it's time to go where the action is. A quick search on Zillow.com, shows several awesome properties that are just waiting to be snagged up!
