Def Leppard, The Struts to Play Bangor, Maine Waterfront
For our second concert announcement of the day, Classic Rock fans will rejoice at the news that The Thunder God and his crew are heading to Bangor. That's right, this summer's Waterfront Concerts Schedule will include none other than Def Leppard.
While no strangers to Bangor, it's been a minute since these iconic classic rockers have come up this far.
Most recently, the band played alongside rock legends Steve Miller Band, Cheap Trick and Heart on a stadium tour 2023, that brought them to New England, but sadly not to Maine.
The band will make their triumphant return to Vacationland this summer, as they take to the stage at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Tuesday. July 1, with openers, The Struts.
I got to see them almost a decade ago, when they were last in Bangor and was impressed at how good they sounded. It was also a concert, which contrary to how most concerts go these days, in which no one in the band felt inclined to drop any F-bombs. Not to say that their openers won't, but they let their rock do the talking for them, and it was awesome.

Fellow British rockers, The Struts, are a high-energy, really fun group, that will be a great openers for the seasoned classic rockers.
A mix of glam-rock and punk, with a singer that reminds many of Freddie Mercury at first glance, they'll give Bangor a good dose of energy that will prime fans for Def Leppard.
