Do The Red Sox Beards Really Matter? [AUDIO + POLL]

A clean shaven Jonny Gomes showed up at the Red Sox spring training facility in Florida yesterday, and when reporters asked him about losing the beard here's what he had to  say.

Are you superstitious? Do you think that the beards really had anything to do with the Sox winning the World Series last year?  Does a clean shaven Jonny Gomes kill the chance of the Sox repeating a World Series win?

I'd like to see all the players start out clean shaven this year and then let themselves go as the year goes on, eventually looking like Charles Manson by the end of the season.
