The political onslaught continues.

Donald Trump Jr. will return once again to the Bangor area today (Thursday) to stump for his father, the president.

The president's eldest child will appear at Orrington Calvary Chapel in Orrington, according to the campaign website. He's due to grab the microphone at 5:30 p.m.

The event originally had been scheduled at Greenway Equipment Sales in Bangor. Greenway owners told WABI the event was moved after state officials advised the business of potential penalties if state guidelines were violated.

As you're probably well aware, this will be Donald Trump Jr's second appearance in our area recently, as back on September 22 he stood in front of a pretty good-sized crowd at Maine Military Supply in Holden.

This of course follows his father's brief visit to Treworgy Family Orchard in Levant this past Sunday, when hundreds of supporters showed up for a spur-of-the-moment appearance by the president of the United States in his quest to score Maine's 2nd District in this Tuesday's election.

Vice President Mike Pence was at Dysart's Truck Stop and Restaurant in Hermon just last week, speaking his mind and campaigning for the Republican ticket in front of a fully loaded pulp truck.

Jill Biden, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, spoke in front of the Bangor Standpipe this past Wednesday, along with Governor Janet Mills and Democratic senatorial candidate Sara Gideon.

Between today and this coming Tuesday, minds will be swayed and decisions will be made, and for the sake of us all, we'll have a bunch of clear-cut winners by Wednesday morning of next week.

In the meantime, enjoy all of the political hoop-la, because with any luck we will not see or hear anymore of it in person, online, on TV and or on the radio for at least two more years.
