Even with the lack of snow the Ellsworth Winter Carnival is on!  Some of the kids activities that involved snow have been postponed, but all other activities will go on as planned this weekend!

Start off the Winter Carnival with breakfast tomorrow morning breakfast from 7 till 10 a.m. at the Lygonia Mason Lodge #40 on the Bucksport Road.  The cost is $5.00 for adults, children 12 and under eat free.

Saturday night you can skate under the lights from 4 until 8 p.m. at the ice rink in Knowlton Park. Did you know that the Ice Rink has it's own website?  Looks like someone took an unwanted stroll across the rink the other night when it was warm and created some ruts, although it should be ready for the events Saturday. Don't have any skates?   Cadillac Mountain Sports up on High Street is offering free ice skate rentals.

Make sure to see the Fireworks Show at Ellsworth High School at 6 p.m.!

Don't miss the Clam Boot Hockey Classic on Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. right there at the Ice Rink at Knowlton Park.  This should be a lot of fun!  It consists of four-person teams wearing boots, not skates, and they'll use a sponge puck! Teams will compete in youth, high school and adult divisions.

Due to the lack of snow, the snowmobile rides and snow shoe races at Woodlawn have been cancelled.  Any up to the minute information can be found at the City of Ellsworth's Facebook page.
