Emera Maine Reports 6683 Customers Still Without Power As Of 11:10AM Wednesday

Winter Storm/Blizzard Stella really wreaked havoc in the area last night, and it especially took it's toll on the electrical system!  But the good news is that with today's favorable weather conditions, Emera Maine expects all of it's customers to be back online by the end of the day.

Although, some customers in the very remote areas of the company's territory may not be restored until Thursday.

Heavy winds in Penobscot County, and especially in both Hancock and Washington counties knocked down limbs and trees which took down power lines, there were even some instances of broken poles.

Remember, NEVER TOUCH A POWER LINE!

Here's the tabulation of customers currently without power:

Hancock County:  2236

Northern Penobscot/Piscataquis Counties:  454

Penobscot County:  2257

Washington County:  1736
