Be prepared, as some traffic will be restricted.

On Tuesday, May 28th, the day following Memorial Day, Emera Maine will begin to install a new cable within the Deer Isle-Stonington bridge that will eventually ensure reliable electrical service between Sedgewick to Little Deer Isle.  The project is expected to take two weeks.

From sunrise to sunset, Monday through Thursday, there will be lane closures and one-way alternating traffic.  Those on foot, on a bicycle, and transporting loads wider than 10 feet will be restricted Monday through Thursday.  Workers will minimize traffic delays and help transport permitted loads across the structure all days, including Fridays.

Electrical service to the island and outlying areas will not be interrupted.
