Bangor Escape Room Marks Ten Years In The Queen City

Following a recent celebration of 10 years of business in the Queen City, the Bangor Escape Room is planning another big adventure: a move across the river into Brewer!

The initial 'Escape Room' owners first opened the doors of this team-based, live-action, puzzle-solving experience back in 2016. Located at 1528 Hammond Street, it was a building riddled with riddles and fun.

In 2020, the business changed hands to a new pair of owners, who have kept the same excitement and enthusiasm for curiosity and cracking clues. They even rebranded their logo in 2026 to reflect the new era of escape rooms.

Recently, they shared that they were going to be assembling a couple of new "temporary" experiences, which had people wondering, "Why the end date?" Was there something going on at Bangor Escape Rooms?

Well, it would seem they have one more trick up their sleeve, as they've made plans to bring their games to a new location in Brewer.

They announced the impending changes on their Facebook Page last week.

"From now until the end of the year, we will be transitioning to the Twin City Plaza in Brewer...A slightly modified Baker Street Mystery will return at the new spot while we rebuild back to five rooms as we usually have. FOUR brand new games for you to play eventually; please be patient."

The Bangor Escape Rooms will remain open in their current location for a few months to come, as they make the transition. Since the owners aren't entirely sure of the timeline, as there's still a lot to be done before the big move, once they are finished, it could mean the games being hosted in Bangor right now close down with short notice, so if you haven't yet tried them out, consider this your warning.
