Two inmates who walked away from a Belfast Reentry Center have been located in New Hampshire.

The Waldo County Sheriff's Office, and other law enforcement agencies have been looking for 24-year-old Dakota Raven of Knox and 24-year-old Cameron Dana of Owls Head since September 29th. That's the night they walked away from a work detail at the Maine Coastal Regional Reentry Center in Belfast.

On Sunday, October 4th, police in Ossipee New Hampshire responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a boat launch at a local campground. When they ran the plates on the 2002 Ford Ranger, they determined it had been reported stolen form Searsport, Maine on October 2.

The officers remembered seeing two men walking in the immediate area but, when they went to find them, realized they had left the road. A K9 unit was called to the scene and, after a short track, Dana and Raven were found sitting in a stream. Both men were arrested on the outstanding warrants for escape, issued by the Waldo County Sheriff's Office. They were taken to the Carroll County Correctional Center, where they were also charged with the New Hampshire offenses of receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.

They're expected to make their first court appearance on Monday.
