Family-owned Bangor Hardware Store To Close After 31 Years

After 31 years in business, Broadway Hardware will close its doors.

Brent Hopkins, an owner and manager of the store at at 720 Broadway, made the announcement via video Wednesday that they have decided to retire from the hardware business.

"It's a great run," Hopkins said. "It's a huge accomplishment. We're very proud of what we've done."

"We made a ton of friends," added Hopkins, who thanked the store's many loyal customers.

The store will have a liquidation sale on June 22.
