The Hathaway House Now In Veazie

This year's Hathaway House display has been moved from Bangor to the Town of Veazie, specifically at the Veazie Community School. This display is a fundraising effort to collect money for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. All donations collected will go to Bangor's Northern Light NICU.

The Hathaway House Annual Bangor-Area Holiday Tradition

The Hathaway House is an ongoing tradition in the Bangor area started by Rick and Deanna Hathaway of Bangor. Their personal experience of needing the NICU is why they fundraise every year. Their family endured an eleven week early delivery of twin boys with one of the boys, Alex, passing due to the premature delivery, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

The time needed at the NICU led to the survival of one of the twin boys, Warren, who is now a 5-year-old happy and healthy boy.  This experience has led a mission for the family to fundraise money for the NICU department that helped their family through a difficult time and to honor Alex's life at the same time.
