Back in December Ford did a recall on cables that were susceptible to water infiltrations and subsequent fire issues. For those owners who took their vehicles in to be checked Ford is now saying that the inspection may have accidentally caused more damage.

AP reports that this has prompted Ford to issue a recall on 327,000 F-Series pickup trucks in North America to fix the affected engine block heater cables. Ford is advising owners of F-150s from 2015 through 2019, as well as Super Duty trucks from 2017 through 2019 to discontinue use of the heaters until they can be replaced.
